Dog Trainer - Professional Dog Trainer at Tenaker Pet Care

After training hundreds of dogs of virtually every breed, custom-designing each program to suit the dog and the owner’s needs. Some dogs learn very quickly, while others seem intent on prolonging their education as long as possible. One thing is constant, an expert dog trainers always recommend that the owner being an active part of the training. Not only is it necessary for the success of the training, it is definitely more fun for everyone. Praise and positive reinforcement and guarantees dog obedience training will work both on and off leash for both the owner and the dog. In reality, both the dog and the owner are getting trained in the process.

About the Tenaker Training Packages:

DOG BOARDING and TRAINING
This program is a 3 week session with the dog residing with us and being trained to all basic obedience skills and addressing problem solving issues. The cost of the program includes the boarding, complete training, playtimes, two private lessons upon completion and five drop-in group classes.

The conditioning to the use of the remote collar is also available for off leash handling at a minimal additional charge and includes the remote training collar.

This program is ideal for busy families and during a vacation while boarding is needed anyhow. All aggression issues are recommended to opt to participate in our Board and Train program.

8 WEEK DOG TRAINING PROGRAM
This program allows the owner to participate in all training with their dog on a weekly basis. It is done in 4 private sessions followed by 4 group classes. All basic skills are learned as well as any problem solving issues. Private Class times are flexible and decided upon between the client and the trainer availability.

DOG AGILITY TRAINING
Dog Agility Training is great for confidence building as well as a wonderful team sport for both handler and dog. Basic obedience and off lead control is needed prior to entrance into this class.

AKC RALLY
Rally is a handler/dog team sport that is exciting for the whole family. Rally training can be done recreationally or in a competitive aspect.

PUPPY KINDERGARTEN
This class is for young dogs from the ages of 10 weeks through 16 weeks. We address all basic skills and socialization through motivational techniques and prepare the pup for more formal training as his next phase.

PERSONAL PROTECTION TRAINING
We offer full home and personal protection training services ranging from an alarm bark to a full contact man-stopper. Evaluation and all basic obedience skills are a mandatory pre-requisite.

ESTATE PROTECTION DOGS
Fully trained home protection dogs are available by request. Please contact our trainer for further information and pricing.

APPRENTICE TRAINER PROGRAM
This is a 4 month, hands on, certification program focused on qualifying the student to become a Professional Dog Trainer.

We also offer individualized select training for tracking, additional AKC sports, dog show training and all problem solving and behavioral issues.
